Requirements to register a .ad domain

To register a .ad domain name, it is necessary to comply with the General Domain .ad Registration Regulations. In addition to complying with these regulations, the following additional requirements must be met:

• Generally accepted as legitimate;
• Not detrimental to the image of Andorra or Andorran interests, at the discretion of the Registry Operator;
• Given the importance and meaning of the domain name to which it refers.

How to register a .ad domain

Since October 22, 2024, the registration of .ad domains has been opened to any individual or legal entity. Both residents and non-residents of Andorra can request an available domain through accredited registrars. The process will be automated and domains will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

No additional documentation will need to be submitted, nor will any prior verification be required.
